Media reporting concerning the main trial against Stephan E. and Markus H.

No. 46/2020

On account of several questions and calls received the press office gives the following further explanations:

  1. It is possible for a press medium to accredite more than one media representative; however, on each day of the main trial proceedings, only one media representative may be present in the Court Room (either Court Room 165, Court Building C, or Court Room Bad Homburg, Court Building B). If more than one media representative is accredited for a press medium, the certificate of accreditation will in each case contain the information that only one of the accredited representatives may be present in only one of the Court Rooms at a time.

The regulations issued by the presiding judge within his courtroom police powers has been specified accordingly and can be seen below and on the homepage of the Higher Regional Court Frankfurt/Main.

  1. Demands for accreditation which arrived yesterday or today before 10.00 am will not be considered since they do not fulfill the requirements of the regulations issued. Please check your application for completeness and control that your application has fulfilled the formal requirements of the registration period. The confirmation of the accreditation will prove the status as media representative. The assignment of seats in the Court Room will take place in order of the arriving in front of the Court Room.
  2. Regarding the regulations concerning the pool leadership (III.2) the term ‘press agency’ means both picture agencies and news agencies.
  3. In the media room, the security measures follow the general house order (Hausverfügung) of the President of the Regional Court Frankfurt/Main dating from 3 June 2020. The text of the general house order will be linked to the homepage as soon as possible.
