Media information on the start of the main trial in the criminal case against Alaa M.

The main trial in the criminal case against Alaa M. will beginn on 19 January 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in the courtroom 165 C. The courtroom as well as the media broadcast room open at 9:00 a.m.

The allocation of seats is based on the order of appearance in front of the courtroom. Please note that a covered protected waiting area will be set up at the entrance of Konrad-Adenauer-Straße 22. This initially applies on the first three days of trial.

Please queue exclusively in this waiting area. This also applies to media representatives who want to follow the main trial in the media broadcast room. The waiting area opens at 6:30 a.m. From 8:30 you will receive numbered place cards for the press grandstand and the media broadcast room. Numbers 1-19 refer to the press grandstand, numbers 20-60 to the media broadcast room.

If you only come after issuing the numbered place cards, please go directly to the press entrance of courtroom 165 C, Konrad-Adenauer-Straße 20, where the remaining place cards will be issued. This also applies to the media broadcast room.

In principle, accredited media representatives are given priority.

For the non-accredited media representatives, the places not used by the accredited media representatives will be allocated at 9:45 a.m., again in the waiting area.

Please remember to wear a mask of protection class FFP2 and keep the necessary distances.

In the courtroom, the audio, radio and video coverage is made exclusively via the pool leaders (press release No. 2/2022 of 10 January 2022).

The use of internet capable devices is permitted only in the offline status both in the courtroom and in the media broadcast room.

With regard to the follow-up days of main trial, please note the currently announed changes of courtroom. Depending on the press interest, it will be announced after the third day of the main trial whether the waiting area will still be available.
